The Detex EAX-500 is designed for applications that require an alarmed exit device on secured doors.  The alarm, with approximately 100dB, will sound when someone attempts an unauthorized exit.  The EAX-500, with it's redesigned shape and smaller size make it the choice for quick and easy installations on emergency exit and restricted doors.

Operation:

• TO ARM: Insert and rotate the key counterclockwise. Red LED will flash twice followed by solid Green LED. Remove key, Green LED will continue to illuminate for 15 seconds during the arming sequence followed by 3 chirps indicating the alarm is armed and ready.

• TO DISARM: Insert and rotate the key clockwise. Green LED flashes twice. Key may be removed. Alarm is now disarmed and will not sound.

Detex Limited Warranty:

Comes with Detex's standard three (3) year limited warranty. The EAX-500 Series Exit Alarm is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship when properly installed, used and maintained according to instructions. We will, for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, repair or replace any part which, upon our examination, proves to be defective under normal use. This does not apply to batteries or to damage from battery leakage. This warranty will be honored upon presentation of proof that the product covered thereby was purchased directly from an authorized Detex distributor. We shall not be liable for any direct, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising out of the failure of this device.

DETEX ECL-600

The Fire Rated Detex ECL-600 Exit Control Lock is designed to have the deadbolt and deadlocking latchbolt retract simultaneously when the paddle bar is pushed to exit. A high-decibel piezo horn sounds to warn personnel that an unauthorized exit is occuring. Use of an authorized key in the inside cylinder or in the optional outside lever trim retracts the bolt and shunts the alarm. The ECL-600 may be operated as a "Passage" function by both the inside paddle and the outside lever, if so equipped.

DETEX EAX-2500F-S

The EA500F-S Series has been replaced by our next generation of exit alarms, the EAX-500 and the EAX-2500 (S & F). These products were obsoleted on April 30, 2006, however Detex will continue to provide service, support and parts for existing EA-500 and EA-2500 installations.
